Rehoming Irish Greyhounds: Registered Charity Number 1167605
This handsome boy is called Silas.
He is approx 4 years old, and homed by NGR over 3 years ago ( as a pup )
He is a mixed breed ( not sure what, maybe saluki X / retriever or setter ) when Silas arrived with his new family they had cats and he was fine with them. However, recently the farm that they live on has acquired 3 stray cats, that Silas has taken a dislike to, and this is now causing an unhealthy issue with the resident cats, with whom he has lived with quite happily over the past 3 years.
So, Silas is now looking for a new forever home. As the family feel that he would now trust him with the house cats. So we cannot home him to a family with cats. Not Cat friendly.
Silas lives with other dogs including very small ones. He is crate trained.
He can counter surf. He has some recall, but that can be selective. He will sit, stay, and lay down on command.
He is a fairy energetic lad, who will need a garden or somewhere local that he can be let off lead in a secure area. Or a family that loves the out doors and walking. He is okay on the lead, and would suit a couple active / retired couple.
The one down side of Silas is that he can be food aggressive with dogs. However, this is easily resolved if you feed him separately to any other dogs.
He is with his current owner is Sth Wales, and is available to visit or speak to his owner.
