Peg is a 4-year-old rough-coat Lurcher with the most gentle soul. Standing around 25” at the shoulder, she may be missing a leg, but she’s never short on love, resilience, or personality. After coming into our care in septic shock with a severely injured front leg, Peg had to undergo amputation — and she has amazed us every single day since with how well she’s adapted to life on three legs.

This sweet girl has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever sofa ????️

✨ Why Peg is so special:
• Sleeps soundly through the night
• Clean in the house
• Can be left alone and is non-destructive
• Loves her food (best fed separately — she takes it seriously!)
• Affectionate, gentle, and deeply devoted to her humans
• Greets her family with the happiest tail wags and bouncy excitement
• Loves to snooze nearby or curl up at your feet while you work

Peg is a laid-back girl — calm, relaxed, and happiest enjoying the simple things in life. She adores pottering around the garden, sunbathing, and being close to her people. While she enjoys short strolls (up to about half a mile), she’s not built for long walks and prefers a slower, peaceful pace.

???? Her ideal home:
Peg would thrive in a calm home with someone around most of the day — a gardener or outdoorsy person would be perfect. She’d love a safe garden to explore and a cosy spot to nap the day away.

???? She could live as an only dog soaking up all the love, or with a calm older Lurcher
???? Not suitable for homes with cats or chickens

Peg has overcome so much, and all she wants now is a kind, loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. She’s gentle, loyal, and truly one of a kind.
