Sue

Name: Sue
Sex: Female
Breed: Lurcher
Fully Vaccinated: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Spayed: Yes
Height TTS: 24”
SUE DOES NEED TO BE WITH ANOTHER DOG.
Personality:
Sue is an extremely affectionate lady and a lady she is. She is the most gentle dog you could ever meet, timid with new people and situations. She is a stray so her current foster home is her first experience in a home. She loves touch and cuddles with her trusted humans, nervous of vacuum cleaner or sudden movements but she is getting better. Can whine a little for attention and is happiest when we are sitting down together in the evening. She snores like a trooper which we find very endearing. She has adapted so well to home life. She loves teddys and loves to empty the toy basket. She is a grade A hoarder and loves to take shoes and slippers, draught excluders, cushions
like all Lurchers she loves to have a collections of random stuff!
Training: Sue is one of the cleanest dogs we have ever fostered. She has never had an accident. We take her out every 3 hours but she has gone to 4-41/2 hours without peeing. We would be very vigilant about this aspect of training for her own comfort aswell. Sue dreams a lot and gets vocal and fidgety at times. We don’t touch her when she is like this we wake her by calling her.
Eating Habits: Sue loves her food, she is fed twice a day. We add a little wet food so she will eat her meal in one go. She has absolutely zero food agression. She is currently in foster with 6 other dogs, 4 males and 2 females, all of her own size.
With possessions including human:
She has absolutely no guarding tendencies. She is extremely submissive.
Behaviour with other dogs:
Sue can only go to a home with another dog or dogs. She gets her confidence from them and she adores the company of dogs. She is playful, submissively so. Very sweet natured to other dogs. She is not a barker at other dogs. She loves to run and play and enjoys her time off lead in her secure garden.
Night time:
Sue sleeps the whole night in her crate in the sitting room. She never cries only rarely if she needed the loo.
The crate: Sue is fully crate trained in a positive way, it’s where she runs to when she is scared or unsure. We have strict rules in our house regarding crates, no human faces, hands or children are allowed in, no other dogs are allowed in. It is solely for Sue and it’s off limits to everyone else.
If we are leaving, Sue goes into her crate and will happily sleep without crying.
Lead training:
Sue needs a little work on the lead she can be a touch strong if something takes her interest. She can occasionally be unpredictable and pull if she is in a giddy mood but it’s just her initial excitement of going walkies. She settles quickly.
Travelling:
No travel sickness, she travels in my van in a crate and she lies down with no issue. I don’t think she is overly fond of it but if she knows she’s going somewhere nice she would soon adapt.
She is an absolute diamond of a dog. One of the easiest foster dogs we have had here. We all adore her. Her kind nature and lady like poses couldn’t but endear her to anyone.
She is a one in a million dogs.
Currently in Ireland.
